REJECTED

Everyone wants to fit in, to be accepted by others. Sometimes, though, that just doesn’t happen. Which means we’ve all experienced rejection at one time or another - that horrible feeling of being on the outside looking in.

Whether it was on the elementary school playground, in junior high school band or whether friends neglected to include us in their activities last week, rejection is painful!

Imagine Jesus - a man who only wanted good for people. One week they wanted to make Him king. The very next week they rejected Him, put Him on trial, beat Him, chose someone other than Him to live, and killed Him. The ultimate rejection was His.

Because Jesus experienced what it was to be human, He understands exactly how rejection felt.

But rejoice in so far as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may rejoice and be glad when His glory is revealed. I Peter 4:13

Heavenly Father, I thank You that Jesus knows my deepest heartache. I thank You that You know exactly how rejections feels. In Jesus’ name. Amen
