REDEEM THE TIME

Have you ever had a season in your life in which, no matter how hard you tried to banish them, your thoughts were filled with anxiety . . . anger . . . jealousy . . . envy . . . or maybe
even bitterness? You tried and tried to be rid of those thoughts and all of the resulting emotions. Nothing seemed to work. Then one day, becoming concerned for your thoughts, your health, your spiritual well-being, you decided to do whatever it took to be free from those crippling thoughts.

You went to your heavenly Father, asking for His light on the entire situation. Quietly you waited . . . Then you began to see the absolute waste of time and energy it had taken to dwell on those things causing the anxiety . . . anger . . . jealousy . . . envy . . . or bitterness. You determined to put it all behind you by asking God’s forgiveness.

You asked forgiveness for that specific sin which wanted to choke out your life. You turned to Scripture to see what God has to say in regard to positive action you could take.

. . . who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity and to purify for Himself a people of His own who are zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:14

Heavenly Father, please redeem me, purify me, make me Your own. In Jesus’ name. Amen
