ALL IS YOURS

Have you ever worn your shoes until they were so battered that they were falling off your feet? Yet in your closet is that extra pair you had purchased as a back-up. They are exactly like your old shoes, yet you continue to trudge along in the old ones.

Or are you trying to write a letter, struggling along with a worn out pen? In your kitchen drawer is a box of new pens, ready to be used. Yet you continue to struggle with the old one.

Don’t we, as people, do the same spiritually?

We settle for second best, acting as paupers when we have all of the riches available to us because of Jesus.

For all things are yours . . . and you are Christ’s and Christ is God’s. I Corinthians 3:21-22

Heavenly Father, please help me to live in the truth about who You are and what You have bestowed upon me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
