PENS AND LIFE

Have you ever noticed how pens differ from each other? Some pens have ink which flows smoothly and easily, almost willingly. Another pen’s ink comes out in a long, thin pale line. It feels like the ink must be manually squeezed out. It’s difficult to discern where paper ends and ink begins, the ink so pale.

Let’s think about those pens in relation to life. Which pen does your life resemble in the hand of God? Does He have to push and prod you to obey Him? Do you grumble all the way, putting out a pale reflection of who He is with frequent stops and starts? Or do you willingly serve in the areas He has given you - cheerfully, readily, boldly?

And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work. II Corinthians 9:8

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your abundance and providing all I need to serve You freely. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
