GOD'S CHANGES

In a rural setting, farmers can often be seen separating animals from one another. Calves are separated from their mothers at a certain age. Chickens are separated from one another, some sent to market and others kept for laying eggs.

Jesus, too, lived in a rural setting. He used the picture of sheep being separated from goats to reveal to us God’s plan for the future when He comes to judge the earth. Those who love God, obey Him and live godly lives will be separated from those who don’t.

Thinking of our own lives, we can see how the Lord continually works to separate the godly attributes in our characters from those attributes which don’t please Him.

If we allow God to work in our lives, He provides His own attributes of patience, kindness, self control, gentleness, joy, peace and His Love. Let’s allow Him to live those character qualities through us!

. . . and He will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:32

Heavenly Father, please open my heart to be changed into the person You created me to be. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
