SEEING THE LORD

It was said in the Land of Giants no one could see the king unless he or she possessed a certain quality. Every citizen of the land made it their aim in life to do whatever needed to be done to attain that quality. Being able to see the king was that important to them. Some even died in their pursuit.

In Scripture we read that we, too, need to be in possession of a certain quality so that we can see the King - our Lord. What is that quality? Scripture names it: HOLINESS!

What is holiness? Webster defines it “as belonging to or coming from God; consecrated; sacred; spiritually perfect or pure; untainted by evil or sin; associated with Jesus and His life”.

Certainly we want to see our King! How will we cooperate with God day to day to obtain that holiness?

Strive for . . . holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14

Heavenly Father, please guide my steps in pursuit of You and Your holiness. I want to see You more clearly . . . beginning today! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
