TINTED IN PEACE

Have you ever gotten up on the morning with a grumbling attitude already rising to the surface? You didn’t sleep well. There was no milk for breakfast. The day stretched before you with all of the heat and humidity of a July heat wave. someone tracked dirt onto the kitchen floor, there was dust everywhere. On and on the grumbling proceeded until you couldn’t even stand yourself.

God has a remedy for those days when we are out of sorts. He instructed us to place our thoughts on the true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, gracious and excellent. When we heed His instructions, all is tinted in peace as we give praise to our Creator. He has truly created all things perfectly.

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things . . . . Philippians 4:8

Heavenly Father, please bundle my grumbling thoughts up and help me cast them aside so that my every thought may please You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
