How many years have you lived in your present home? Do you remember the day when you hung up all of the paintings, photos and special little wall hangings?
Now, as time has passed, you don’t even notice those special objects. They are just “there”. You walk right by them a hundred times a day.
Don’t we do that same thing with God’s creation, too? There are the marvelous stars which God created. Nightly we close the curtains and our eyes to them. God’s sunrises and sunsets provide us daily with a sight which never happened before. We turn our backs on them as we hurry and scurry about.
Do we pause a moment in wonder as spring buds appear. . . at the first and thirtieth snow fall . . . at a bird’s song . . . at an autumn leaf with lovely tints of burgundy . . . at a common ordinary miraculous day?
May we open our eyes to see, our ears to hear and our hearts to notice the marvels which God has taken time to create.
May the glory of the Lord endure for ever, may the Lord rejoice in His works. Psalm 104:31
For a blessing, read all of Psalm 104 this week!.
Heavenly Father, please cause me to be more aware of Your “wall hangings”. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
