RENEWED

When I worked in a library, often we would find books in the collection which had become tattered and worn out. The Director would stamp ‘Discard” on them and off they would go to be sold at the annual book sale.

It didn’t matter what the contents of the book were - off they went because they weren’t fresh and new looking.

Aren’t we glad that God doesn’t do the same with us? Just because we are beginning to show the signs on the outside of wear and tear, it doesn’t mean we have no value. Our value comes from God, who is renewing us daily on the inside, making us into treasures which He enjoys.

Let’s enjoy God’s life within us which every day is fresh and new.

The Lord, your God is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in His love; He will exult over you with loud singing . . . .
