PRESSING ONWARD

Have you ever had experiences which prevented you from moving forward in your life? Perhaps a loved one has died and you can’t get past the grief. Or a valued friendship has faded away. Or a child has moved away from home. Whatever the circumstances, sometimes the emotions are so overwhelming that we just can’t get past them.

Yet Scripture admonishes us to press onward. Instead of reliving the experience again and again in our thoughts, at some point, we need to move ahead.

We can press onward after a difficult time. God made us resilient. For each of us, the process will be different. And that’s OK. As long as we press onward.

God has more love to shower on us, more good things to bring out way.

I press onward toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

Heavenly Father, I hold tenderly the memories from the past but I ask for courage to continue moving ahead with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
