Have you ever had a drink of water from a country well on a hot summer day? Did you taste how cold it was? It came from deep below the earth, flowing unseen, yet ready to refresh and restore the partaker. It seems not to be influenced in the least by the heat and humidity on the surface of the earth. It just keeps flowing, pure and steadily.Isn’t God’s love to us that exact same way? Perhaps unseen at times, perhaps hidden. Even in difficult times His love is there, flowing to refresh and restore us as we need it.
May we partake to quench our thirsty souls.
...but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst; the water that I shall give him will become in him a spring of water, welling up to eternal life. John 14:14
Heavenly Father, thank you for your pure love which overflows to me constantly. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
