DIVINE DIRECTIVES

Have you ever agreed to do a job and then regretted it when you were in the middle of it? Perhaps the job was tedious. Or it was taking longer than you expected. Or it was not at all what you expected it to be. Or more stamina was needed than you’d bargained for. For whatever the reason, you find yourself longing for freedom.

Then you remember that you prayerfully asked the Lord for His divine wisdom whether to do the job or not. When He said “yes”, you moved ahead in obedience.

Now you are in the middle of the job and you want out . . . until you remember God’s divine directive to you. Now you remember it is His strength, His patience and His love which are empowering you.

You breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that all is well because you heeded the divine directive.

. . . and as your days, so shall your strength be. Deuteronomy 33:25

Heavenly Father, thank You not only for Your clear directives but for Your strength to carry them out. In Jesus’ name. Amen
