Many of us, for years, have been keeping our eye on world events. We have longed for the day when Jesus, as He promised us, would return to earth. We’ve known, however, that difficult times would come first as prophesied in Scriptures. Now, in this present time, it seems that the Day of the Blessed Hope is nearer. Every few years we seem to be on the brink of war. The economy. . . .
The price of gas. . . . Wars . . . . Rumors of war . . . .
It is a time of great fear in the world and, if we aren’t careful, we will get caught up in the panic, too.
What should we do with our fears of the days ahead? Let’s declare with the psalmist:
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in Thee.”
Psalm 56:3
Then, let’s follow Jesus’ instructions:
Now when these things begin to take place, look up, and raise your heads, because your redemption draws near. Luke 21:28
Heavenly Father, I don’t know what the days ahead hold but I am looking to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
