YOUR DREAM

Recently we have been watching and listening to Susan Boyle’s ‘I Dreamed a Dream’. There seems to be an important lesson here for all of us - do not judge a person by their appearance because inside that person may just be a treasure, a miracle waiting to be seen and recognized as such.

Yet that isn’t the entire lesson we should see here. If we listen to the song more closely, the ending says “…life killed my dream.”

I don’t know about you, but my dream is alive, overflowing and happening before my eyes. God is turning a dream into a reality.

Sure, all of us have taken hits on our dreams but maybe that was to purify them. Maybe they needed to be more clearly defined. Maybe they needed to stand the test of time…and difficult circumstances.

May I ask - what dreams has God given you? Have they been fulfilled? Which dreams have you already seen come to the light of day? Which dreams have you still to see?

Are you moving in the direction to have your God-given dreams fulfilled or have you given up?

Let’s not give up. Maybe the best part of our lives is ahead. Maybe all we have experienced is just to purify those dreams and to make us more fit to live them.

And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men will dream dreams. Joel 2:28
