Have you ever been asked by a friend to be involved in something with which you don’t agree? What do you do in a case such as that? Do you just go along with the plans, not really wanting to be involved yet, somehow, feeling obligated?
Time and energy, two of our most precious resources given us by God, need to be wisely used because neither is limitless. Going to our heavenly Father for His wisdom and then prayerfully choosing which obligations we take on seem to be the key to wise living.
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12
Heavenly Father, please give me the courage to act out of conviction, not out of obligation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
