GOD IS GOD

GOD is GOD of your past

Are you pleased with your past? Or do you wish you could go back for do-overs?

God in His wisdom won't allow that… God is God of our past. He was there every second before we even drew a breath…and every day since then…as God.

For thou didst form my inward parts,

thou didst knit me together in my mother's womb. Ps. 139:13

Thy eyes beheld my unformed substance;

in thy book were written every one of them,

the days that were formed for me,

when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:16

GOD is GOD of your past.

GOD is GOD of your present

Are you enjoying this season of your life? Or is it difficult? Are you content with what is…or do you wish you could run away from it all? No matter the situation, God is God of your present. You can trust Him to be there as He gives daily wisdom, strength and guidance.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Psalm 23:1 (Please read all)

GOD is GOD of your future.

How do you feel about your future? Are you confident that God has it all planned out and under His loving control? Or are you afraid?

Have no anxiety abut anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

GOD is GOD of your eternity.

Have you heard the saying: I've read the back of the Book and we've won! It's true!!! God is God of our eternity!

In my Father's house are many rooms…. I go to prepare a place for you…. I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

John 1:2-3

GOD IS GOD

Thank you, Heavenly Father that YOU are GOD and Your Presence in my life is real and vital. In Jesus' name. Amen.

GOD OF ORDER

Working in a library for four years made me realize the importance of accuracy and a sense of order. Every book is given a number when cataloged into the system. At a moment’s notice, if a book is needed, the librarian can look for that particular book by a specific number at a particular place on a shelf.

The process, however, breaks down if someone places a book other than in its proper place. Perhaps due to a careless error in re-shelving or a misreading of the book’s number, the book may be out of order, unable to be found.

Our God is a God who takes delight in a sense of order. Look around you at the universe. All is in order. The sun and its planets are placed so that day and night have a specific order. The oceans are placed in specific places. Plants and animals show a certain order in their creation and function.

Who can utter the mighty doings of the Lord, or show forth all His praise? Psalm 106:3

Heavenly Father, please open our eyes to see Your order in the universe. Help me maintain a sense of accuracy and order in MY little corner of the world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

GOD HEARS

When times are difficult, we may find ourselves saying:
“Give ear to my words, O Lord.”
“Give heed to my groaning.”
“Hearken to the sound of my cry, my King and my God.”

We cry out to God, presenting Him with our requests morning, noon and night. We have a problem and we want to be delivered. We can’t stop pleading. We are so much in need!

What would happen if we would change our perspective as the Psalmist did, saying:

“Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness . . . Make Thy way straight before me.”

He answers. His way becomes clear. He shows the way out, under, over, around or through. We follow Him! We rejoice!

But let all who take refuge in Thee rejoice, let them ever sing for joy; and do Thou defend them, that those who love Thy name may exult in Thee. For Thou dost bless the righteous, O Lord; Thou dost cover him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:11-12

Heavenly Father, please lead me in Thy righteousness. Please make Thy way straight before me. I trust Your guidance. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
